Finance

Find the discrepancy between related financial documents.

Revised invoices, credit notes and statements should tell one consistent story. DocGlue shows where they do not.

The problem

Small changes, large consequences.

A revised invoice changes one tax figure. A credit note does not quite offset the original. A statement lists a balance that matches none of the documents behind it.

Finding the specific number that changed usually means printing both documents and reading them side by side.

Documents this covers

  • Invoices and revised invoices
  • Credit notes
  • Statements
  • Receipts
  • Contracts with payment schedules

The DocGlue workflow

From two PDFs to a decision.

  1. 01

    Upload two related documents

An invoice and its revision, an invoice and a credit note, or two statements.

  2. 02

    Figures are extracted

References, dates, due dates, payment terms, subtotal, tax and total, each with its page.

  3. 03

    Values are compared

Amounts are compared in the detected currency. Mixed currencies are flagged and never subtracted.

  4. 04

    Record the outcome

Export the findings as CSV or a PDF report for your working papers.

The result

What DocGlue checks.

  • Subtotal, tax and total
  • Invoice, statement and credit note references
  • Issue dates, due dates and payment terms
  • Line items on revised documents
  • Currency consistency

What you get

  • The exact figure that changed, with its page
  • Consistent checks across revisions
  • Exportable evidence for review

Free, no account. Files are read in memory and discarded when the comparison finishes.

Invoice 1 vs invoice 2

Upload two PDFs, or try the Cedar Peak sample. Put the document you agreed to first (a quote, an order, or the earlier version) and the one you are checking second. Differences show what changed in the second one. If a quote and an invoice are the wrong way round, DocGlue swaps them and tells you. Text you can select is read as written; a scanned page is read only when it has no selectable text.

What are you comparing?

Auto reads symbols such as R, $, EUR, GBP, CAD, and AUD. Pick a currency when an amount has no symbol. If the two PDFs clearly use different currencies, the report warns you and does not subtract them.

Try sample pair loads a Cedar Peak quote and invoice, then runs the same comparison as an upload. Nothing is saved.

Waiting for two PDFs

Add the Invoice 1 and the Invoice 2. Results list matched fields, differences, missing lines, and uncertain matches.
